How It Works

  • Is resin bonded surfacing the same as resin-bound paving?

    No. Resin bonded surfacing scatters aggregate onto a resin coat applied to an existing base. Resin-bound paving mixes aggregate through the resin and is fully permeable. Resin bonded is not permeable, but it costs less and works over a sound existing concrete or asphalt surface.

  • How do I know if my existing driveway is suitable?

    The installer assesses the base for cracks, delamination, and drainage falls before recommending this method. A base with active frost heave or structural failure needs rebuilding first. If the base is sound, resin bonded surfacing is a straightforward option.
